The war and occupation of Afghanistan is a modern day debacle that demonstrates how the US government, or any government for that matter, can be so incompetent, deceptive, corrupt and promote false narratives and be sold out to corporate fleecers, that the effort caves in on itself in disastrous ways, at the shame and expense of the people.
